萊克頓2023春季新學期到來前夕，校園內煥然一新，道旗迎風海報高掛，各部門老師均已到崗迎接新生與萊克頓學子們的到來。新生們在班主任的全程陪同下順利登記入校，生活老師們將學生們妥善地安頓下來，以便學生們盡快融入適應校園生活。稍作休憩后大家齊聚劇院，聆聽校長Mr Clem Parrish發表的迎新致辭以及其他老師為新生從不同角度做的指引性演講。

Since the new semester has kicked off, all the teachers were on duty to welcome the students. Everyone gathered in the theater to listen to the orientation speech given by the Headmaster, Mr. Clem Parrish, as well as other members who gave speeches to the new students from different perspectives.

教學與學術副校長豐老師特意為新生做了溫馨講話，提出幾點希冀，希望新生盡快學會適應。當然提高英語水平，展現更佳的學術表現也是根本，與此同時積極準備和參加適合自己的競賽項目和各種拓展活動。在高中階段要明確自己要做什么，怎么做，如何培養自己的獨立學習和獨立思考能力，發現自己的興趣所在，全面發展，平衡好自己的時間。全人教育&教學副校長范老師與全人教育主管張老師展示了萊克頓的校園文化，向新生介紹學校的傳統活動，如學院制度，并介紹各種校園活動，如運動、藝術和志愿活動。這樣，新生就可以更好地了解他們的新家。升學指導仇老師為大家介紹了最新的大學升學的變化，并告訴剛踏入高中校園的新生們過早不早，充分的準備才能迎來更順暢的沖刺階段。

The Deputy Head Academics, Mr. Feng, gave a warm speech to the new students, offering a few wishes for them to learn to adapt as soon as possible. In high school, you should be clear about what you want to do and how to do it, how to develop your independent learning and thinking skills, discover your interests, and balance your time well. Mr. Fan, Deputy Head Holistic Education and T&L, and Mr. Zhang, Head of Holistic Education, demonstrated the traditions of the school, such as the house system, and introducing various school activities, such as sports, arts and volunteer activities. Ms. Qiu, the Head of University Guidance, gave an update on the changes of applications in college.

正式開學當天，所有師生齊整如一滿坐劇院，校長再次向新生與新加入萊克頓的老師表示歡迎致辭，恭祝大家兔年吉祥。學校為幫助大家更快建立萊克頓人間的友誼和信任關系，以晨星、騎士、赤狐、雄獅學院分為四支隊伍開展了一系列破冰游戲，用歡愉的游戲方式讓學生們相互合作，增強團隊合作精神，展示自己的才華和特長，對未來的學習和生活皆有所裨益。

On Monday, during the Assembly, the Headmaster once again gave a welcome speech to the new students and teachers who had joined Lucton in front of the whole school members, wishing everyone a happy year of the Rabbit. Meanwhile, in order to help the students build up friendship and trust, students were devided into four houses: Star, Knight, Fox and Lion, and played a series of games.

活動前夕，各學院隊伍互相介紹成員，認識彼此并選出各游戲的參與者，還拍攝了集體合照，撫掌歡笑，間隙漸消，也許孩子們的友誼就這么輕松建立。通過傳氣球與順序翻牌游戲，大家有機會了解其他新生，“誰是臥底”幫助大家增強觀察力，以及“后背傳字”“你畫我猜”等一系列特定的互動游戲游戲，培養了彼此的感情，同時幫助新生消除緊張和害羞，放松心情，更好地適應新環境，互動和合作，提高了團隊的合作精神和團隊協作能力。

Each house team introduced their members to each other and selected the participants. Through games, everyone had the opportunity to get to know each other. A series of specific interactive games cultivated mutual affection and helped the new students to eliminate nervousness and shyness, relax and better adapt to the new environment, interact and cooperate, and improve the team spirit and teamwork ability.

萊克頓人之間長期的堅定守候，萊克頓社區間的緊密合作，助力了學校為學生提供一如既往的溫暖支持，幫助他們發揮最大潛力。現在，我們的校園里不僅充滿了快樂的笑容，還充滿了更多好消息的分享。從校園開放日、學校活動到校內校際競賽、比賽等活動的線下回歸，校長先生對新學期的到來表示自己活力滿滿，這一切都將是新學期最美好的開端，我們對未來充滿期待。

With the close cooperation among the Luctonians, we are providing our students with the warm support to help them find their potential. Now, our hallways are filled not only with happy smiles, but also with more good news to share. The whole school is full of energy about the new semester. We are looking forward to the future.
